The Broken Jug
Our creative collaboration with Methexis Theatre Company brought Heinrich von Kleist's classic comedy to life through a comprehensive visual and marketing campaign supporting their national tour. Working closely with the production company, we developed a visual identity that aligned with their artistic vision while ensuring broad audience appeal across Greece.
Our poster design combines dramatic portraiture with dynamic composition to capture the play's essence. The central figure of the judge, portrayed with commanding presence, dominates the upper portion while holding the symbolic gavel. The visual hierarchy places emphasis on the characters' relationships and conflicts, while the courthouse sketch in the background establishes the setting. The broken jug itself appears as a subtle yet powerful symbol at the bottom of the composition. The color palette maintains period authenticity while creating a contemporary feel, using warm tones against a neutral background.
Working within the authentic stage set, we captured both still photography and video footage that preserved the production's period atmosphere while highlighting key dramatic moments. This comprehensive visual documentation not only served the immediate marketing needs but also created a lasting record of this touring production.
The digital marketing campaign evolved alongside the production's national tour, with our team developing and managing social media content and targeted advertising that adapted to each new venue while maintaining the production's core identity. This comprehensive visual documentation not only served the immediate marketing needs but also created a lasting record of this touring production.
